Hoarding Cleanup and Property Clearance in Melbourne

A hoarder property clearance involves carefully sorting, removing and organising accumulated belongings, furniture and unwanted materials from a property. Melbourne Property Cleanup can manage the clearance from start to finish, including sorting items for donation, sale, recycling or disposal, removing rubbish and providing a final property clean up.

The cost of a hoarder house clearance depends on the size of the property, the amount of accumulated contents, accessibility and the level of clearance required. Every property is different, which is why we offer complimentary video consultations and same-day quoting. This allows us to understand the property and provide a quote based on the work involved.

We understand that some hoarder property clearances need to be completed quickly, particularly when a property needs to be sold, leased or handed over. Our experienced team can provide fast property transformations, with same-day and 24-hour turnaround available for suitable properties. The timeframe depends on the size, condition and volume of contents within the property.

Yes. We understand that hoarding situations can be extremely personal and sensitive. Melbourne Property Cleanup approaches every property with discretion, respect and without judgement. We work closely with property owners, families, executors, landlords and property managers to make the clearance process as straightforward and manageable as possible.

No. In fact, many clients find it overwhelming to watch a loved one’s possessions being removed from the property.

For safety reasons, we also recommend that clients are not onsite while our team is carrying out the clearance, particularly when multiple team members are moving large or heavy items.

We simply ask that you remain available by phone or nearby during the clearance, so we can contact you if we have any questions or need guidance about particular items.

Hoarded properties can contain a wide variety of accumulated items and waste, depending on the individual circumstances. This can include large amounts of general household waste, food waste and expired food, rotting or decomposing organic matter, soiled clothing and bedding, used personal items, paper and cardboard, newspapers and magazines, bottles and containers, old furniture, mattresses, appliances, electrical items, household chemicals, garden waste and other discarded or unwanted materials.

In some properties, there may also be animal or human biological waste, faeces, urine, mould-affected materials, contaminated furnishings, sharps or other potentially hazardous materials. Melbourne Property Cleanup can assess the condition of the property and determine the appropriate approach to clearing the contents, including whether specialist cleaning services are required.

Yes. Once all contents has been cleared and decluttered, we can then provide a clean up of the property. The level of cleaning required depends on the condition of the home and can be discussed during the initial consultation.

Contact Melbourne Property Cleanup for a confidential discussion about the property. We offer complimentary video consultations and same-day quoting, making it easy to discuss the situation privately, understand what is involved and receive a quote before deciding how you'd like to proceed.
